This is the Grasshopper Class blog and every week you will be able to find out about all the exciting things we have been up to in Grasshopper Class. Please do have a look every week - we usually update it on a Friday afternoon.
This week we have been reading the traditional tale Jack and the Beanstalk. We have had great fun pretending to be the giant in PE and we even acted out the story to music. We had to climb to the top of a very big beanstalk and then look shocked when we saw the giant.
Look at our giant steps !
We have made lots of puppets and masks for Jack and the Beanstalk and if you pop into our classroom you might see our Giant's castle up on the wall. We had to draw around Noah for the Giant and then we worked together to collage him. Come on in and have a look - it's great !
Daniel did a fantastic beanstalk this week and he cut up all the numbers to 10 and put them into the right order. We were so impressed with him that we put his work on our 'Amazing Moments' wall. Well done Daniel.
We have played outside a lot this week. We have used the field and the sensory garden to play games and explore.
Alexus having fun on our Adventure Playground
We have been doing lots of measuring this week to see who is the tallest and who is the shortest. We have even had a competition to see who can build the tallest tower. See if you can find some tall things in your house, or why not see who is the tallest and who is the shortest in your family?
Noah, Jordan and Alfie worked together to build this tall tower
Jona and Jordan (I think !) built this tower together
We have also talked about growing this week and we have planted our own beans - I don't think they are magic though? We will have to wait and see. We must remember to water them and we've put them in the sunlight.

Taloola, Jessica and Ebony do some great seed collages
See you next week
